Q & A
1
What kind of content do you edit?
I prefer to edit fiction, but I will edit just about anything. It never hurts to have a discussion to see if I am the right editor for your manuscript or project. You can check out my Accepted Content Guidelines here.
2
What is your pricing structure?
Each manuscript is as unique as the prices for my services! This is where a sample edit comes in. I will complete a free sample edit of about 2,000 words. You'll get the sample edit back along with a quote for my services. I offer flexible payment plans and reasonable prices consistent with, or below, market rates.
3
What is your turn around time?
Turnaround time depends on current bookings, when I receive your manuscript, word count, and services contracted. Before signing a contract, we'll ensure that we agree on a date that works for both parties. Since we're all human, things do come up. If I'm having trouble meeting a deadline, I will be sure to communicate that with you immediately.
4
Do you use AI to edit?
I do not use AI in my editing process, outside of Microsoft Word's grammar checker feature, and even then I don't rely on its suggestions. I don't use AI tools like Grammarly, ChatGPT, or Claude.
5
What should I expect when you're done editing?
You'll receive a redlined manuscript, instructions for reviewing my edits, and a summary of overall themes I observed in the manuscript. Depending on which service I'm contracted for, you may also receive a more detailed report on style and flow (line editing) or a stylesheet (copyediting). You should also expect regular updates via email throughout the editing process.

What's your favorite color, food, and song?
Yellow, Pierogi, and Honey by Taylor Swift.
