Line editing
Line editing is a sentence-by-sentence review that refines style and pacing. I'll focus on word choices that enhance emotional impact without changing your storyline. Line editing focuses on flow and show, not tell. I'll take special care with dialogue to ensure that character voices are natural, while preserving your unique voice.
Copyediting
I am a trained copyeditor and this is where I do my best work. I will focus on grammar, punctuation, spelling, and usage. My goal is to make your manuscript clear and consistent while maintaining your unique voice. I'll fact-check your manuscript to make sure details don't change and that your fictional (or real) world is logical.
Proofreading
Proofreading is the final quality review check of your story. It takes place after your book is edited and formatted. I'll work to find stray misspellings, extra spaces, and formatting issues. I'll check for any glaring or critical grammar errors.

Fiction. Specifically romance, fantasy, and romantasy. Spice, violence, and gore don't bother me. I'll diligently track the details of your manuscript to make sure the facts of the world are consistent.
Other types of fiction, if the author/client relationship is a good fit. I'll treat your story with as much care as any other manuscript.
I prefer not to work with
I don't work with
SciFi, horror, or historical fiction. There's nothing wrong with these genres. They're just not my preference.
On-page child abuse, SA, or animal abuse. If these elements are a part of your character's backstory, let's chat! Otherwise, no exceptions. Sorry.
